and lovely; in some years it achieves majestic magnificence.
plants pictured in the top photograph are over five feet tall; those in the second photograph are just three feet tall and were a tiny fraction of the thousands of Stanleya pinnata that line Highway 160 in Colorado east of the Four Corners in the spring.
