| The first photograph shows blooms along the La Plata Canyon Road in 2003 when Frasera speciosa had its greatest bloom in at least 40 years. An equally massive bloom occurred just two years later, and the bottom telephoto picture shows numerous blooms (the vertical white streaks) high up above the Lake Hope Trail on a scree slope. |
