Although it is most common to find clusters of Polemonium pulcherrimum at the shady base of Spruce and Fir, it is also fairly common to find them in lovely arrangements on disturbed sites such as old snags and fallen logs.

Polemonium pulcherrimum flowers can cover the ground in extensive carpets.  This patch is about thirty by thirty feet.
