Penstemon lentus variety albiflorus is found only at the foot of the Abajo Mountains in southeast Utah. (The report of this species in the adjacent Apache County, Arizona are unsupported by a specimen collection and are to be doubted). Color varies from pure white to shades of light and dark blue/purple. This variety tends to grow in much larger colonies than P. lentus variety lentus and it also tends to be a bit shorter.
